I'm a parent and like everyone else, I want my kids to have a proper balanced diet, packed full of lovely veg! But we all know that encouraging kids to eat more greens can be a challenge, so we need to get them really excited about veg by celebrating all the beautiful, colourful, fun things you can do with them.
The Vegan Society
We support this campaign to raise funds to spread the message of Veg Power far and wide. Eating plants is good for our health, the environment and, of course, they're cruelty free, so lets get more of them on our plates.
This is a positive approach that will help and inspire the next generation to enjoy eating more fresh colours everyday. Congratulations from @asaladlover
So pleased to be part of this campaign- so impressed with how much has been achieved so far, and so proud of how we will be able harness 'pester power' through advertising the 'veg power' to kids ASAP! www.iknowwhyitsyummum.com is right behind you.
Hello, we're Organix and we want a world where healthy nutritious food is a real choice for everyone. We're on a mission to make things better in food for children so are in full support of VegPower!
Angela Van Den Berg
VegPower thanks Angela for all her work getting the crowdfunder rewards organised.
Eagle Solutions Services Ltd
We are fully behind your campaign. :) #Vegpower We've #AdEnough of Junk Food Marketing. Anything that gets young people eating better today for a better tomorrow has our full support.
Table of Delights
Table of Delights fully supports the Veg Power. Making a song and dance about fresh vegetables is right up our street.
Great cause and so important to get kids eating healthier. Good luck with the campaign.
The ignorance and fear of veg revealed in Britain's Fat Fight has really shocked me. I think this is a very important campaign and back you 100%. You need to spread the word via your Instagram account too. I am sure it will help you reach your funding goals. I would be very happy to help.
Keep up the great work! The health of our children, our future is all that matters. I'm so happy to see you guys changing things for the better. I won't be seen as the crazy hippie mum anymore thanks to you!
Dr Rachel Allen
Great initiative. Let's get children excited by vegetables for the varied, versatile, colourful, nutrient packed foods they are!
As a parent and a keen amateur cook, it's very rewarding to prepare a meal full of veg goodness that the kids enjoy to eat. I believe kids will eat more veg it just requires more exposure to different varieties to try out. Support this cause!
Fantastic initiative. Fully supported by everyone at Washingborough Academy #FoodEducation
Well done to to you guys, our children need people like you who can show them healthy options can be fun and tasty.
The healthy choice should be the easy choice, much more help is needed to achieve better health for kids.
Great campaign backed up by food system change. Go Veg Power and Well done Peas Please and Food Foundation!
I want a better food environment for my child growing up and wholly support what you’re trying to do here.
As a mum of two young boys, I'm passionate about providing them with a diet that will nourish them. Unfortunately I often feel a lone voice drowned out by the onslaught of media messages and social pressures to eat junk food on a regular basis. Exposure to junk food is relentless, so anything that helps parents restore the balance in favour of food that will do our kids good must be embraced and supported. So good luck with the campaign and thank you for reminding me that I'm not the only one who cares about this.
I love veg, cooked or raw. I hope this campaign helps more children learn to love veg. Out with sugar - Vegpower rules!
Suzy Glaskie, Peppermint Wellness
Veg Power is a brilliant and much needed initiative in an age when our kids are being seduced by manipulative junk food advertising. As a mother of three, I want nothing more than my kids to grow up healthy – and eating lots of veg is the best health insurance there is
I am delighted to have been a part and remain a part of this journey. Exciting times - keep up the good work.
Brilliant initiative. Constantly trying to find new ways to get my toddler interested in and eating veg! Veg gets no where near enough advertisement. Can’t wait for the book and to see more of the campaign.
I support everything that Jamie Oliver does and says. He’s the most responsible and socially-focused chef. He cares.
A N Oughton
Hope this makes a difference... its long overdue. Need to get shot of junk food advertising (just like tobacco products). The more 'subliminal' messages that can be viewed by all on healthy food options, the better
I want my grand children to love veg (especially those from Riverford Organics!) as much as I do.
As a Registered Nutrtitional Therapist I know only too well how important fruit and vegetables are in supporting the health of everyone’s body and psychology. Eating a rainbow is a powerful healthy habit to subscribe to. So lets have fun and be creative in getting this message out there! Here’s to the nation’s health! #vegpower
Love this idea. We really need to get children identifying with and eating more vegetables. We are really behind this at Kiddyum and would love to support you.
Love British Food
We are delighted to give our support to VegPower and spreading the message that we all need to eat more vegetables, particularly British Seasonal Vegetables.
I've been inspired to change how I live by the people involved in this campaign (as well as those behind Fat sick and nearly dead and Sweet Poison). Eating more veg doesn't just have health benefits - it encourages us to eat less meat (yay for the environment) and it (should) be packaging free (second yay for the environment). Its such an effort to provide healthy meals for your family after a day at work and your efforts aren't always appreciated (ahem husbands). Anything that helps parents keep their kids healthy gets my support. Can we please have way more veg heavy cookbooks????
Little Lunches is completely behind the VegPowerUK campaign. We love the focus on encouraging children to eat more vegetables as it’s exactly what we aim to do with nursery aged children as we build out our own product and service proposition.
I am happy to support any initiative that helps to establish good lifestyle habits early - our children need to move more and eat healthier food.
This campaign is so important for parents and children alike. There are so many great vegetables out there that need more love, exposure & consumption! Vegpower!
I would love to get my children, their friends and the communities I work with all eating more veg. Please can we work with school food providers to get more veg into schools. And take the junk out - especially high schools!
To use cutting-edge marketing nous to encourage children to reach for colourful, flavourful veg over ultra-processed, nutrient-depleted snacks is a remarkable mission that we are very happy to support. We know the pleasure, fulfillment and good that truly tasty veg can bring – Vegpower is a fantastic initiative!
VegPower gives massive thanks to Claire at raisingsugarfreekids.com for all her help creating our VegPower book
This is genius!! Fruit & veg are an essential to good health & kids need to learn this from an early age!! Real food is far more delicious than junk. Massive good luck with this campaign!
Saul S Morris
The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition stands by our friends at the Food Foundation in the effort to bring better diets to the UK and the world! Great initiative!
Vegpower is a great and positive concept that I think will help to inform and hopefully excite our younger consumers about the superb taste and health benefits of our fantastic range of British vegetables..
Why *wouldn't* I support a campaign to encourage kids to eat more veg?! Good luck with this - and looking forward to seeing the outcomes.
Viridian Nutrition is pleased to contribute to this vital initiative to support the health of the next generation. We are huge fans of Jamie, Hugh and Rangan. Good luck and keep us posted. Love from us all at Viridian x
Great idea to engage kids. I run Fun Kids - the UK's national children's radio station. Any links we can help with, let us know.
I absolutely love this campaign!. As a nutritionist, I know how vital it is for our kids to eat lots of different kinds of veg every day, and as a mum I know how difficult it can be to achieve that. This campaign gets children interested in veggies , and it makes them fun and exciting too. Not only that, it provides a different message to all the junk food advertising that seems to be everywhere you look. Well done!
British Dietetic Association
The BDA is delighted to support the Veg Power campaign, as we would all benefit from eating more vegetables! As well as tasting great, vegetables are incredibly versatile and packed with essential vitamins, minerals, a variety of phytochemicals and fibre that are vital for good health.
Helen , The Food Coach
This is a fabulous idea and is well needed for the future health of our children. As a registered Nutritional Therapist and mum of three I am frustrated by the constant sight of convenient foods high in sugar everywhere we go which is affecting the decisions and health of children and young adults. As a result I am passionate about educating children and parents on how they can easily eat healthily and, very importantly, enjoy it too. I am proud to support this campaign and look forward to sharing the resources with my clients and my own family to help this important cause. Good Luck.
As a health coach, I encourage my clients to find ways to include more fruit and vegetables in their meals to help heal and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am super happy to see more being done to encourage this on a larger scale and think changing habits at a young age is definitely the way to go.
I think this is a great initiative. As someone who is trying to raise the profile of veg amongst children through our Foodie Tots and Foodie Kids classes I think that some great power and minds behind a campaign like this has the potential to really make a difference to the health of our children, best of luck! Julia Young www.foodietots.co.uk
I absolutely love this project - vegetables do not get advertised as who is going to pay for it - not enough money in the industry to do so!! Also why often not enough research is carried out into the benefits of eating plants. Well done all those involved. xx
The team at Birds Eye are massively supportive of this idea and we are getting involved to help it succeed. We know it’s not easy to get kids to eat more veg but with a few tasty ideas and good messaging, it can all work. Now is the time for veg!
Don’t ever give up trying. One daughter, for whom broccoli is poisonous, has become a veggie lover at 25!
At The Health Boost we are 100% behind this campaign. We are a nutritionist and fitness instructor duo and are passionate about getting everyone to eat healthier including children. We do this regularly with talks in our local community to schools and small groups of mums and workshops in our kitchens to teach people to cook to show them that healthy doesn't mean faddy. Our website includes 100s of healthy recipes that are child approved and include lots of tasty veg. We will promote this campaign through our social media channels and our local community. Thank you to all involved!
It is so important that our children get a good start in life and bad food habits developed early on are very difficult to kick! Here’s to seeing real food becoming the new normal!
This is a much needed initiative and NatureDoc would love to help you spread the word about #vegpower Lots of veggies are the core to happier, healthier children. Parents know it and research proves it!
Massive fan of vegetables so good luck to @VegPower #VegPower with this campaign. So important for healthy diet and helping With #obesity epidemic. And they taste great!
Let’s do something really amazing. Let’s power up the next generation with vegetables!
This is such an easy Campaign to get behind. I am a true believer in the importance of finding creative and enjoyable ways to encourage people to eat more veg, and especially in creating healthy habits in childhood. The evidence on veg and fruit speaks for itself - now it's time to make BIG improvements to the UK diet!
I put on small scale nutrition workshops within my Massage Therapy Rooms establishments, to help educate people on all manner or Nutrition topics, this wold be fabulous to be done a on a larger scale- Nutrition Workshops targeting children and parents, nutrition for mental health, for Gut Health. People need to be educated on these matters. But love your work and all my legends working together, I love it xx
Antony Burdon & Em Perera
Well done Anna and team - you are stars! So important to get this right for our children, and for the future.
An incredible much needed initiative to inspire future generations enjoying the Foods of Mother Nature rather than the Foods of Haribo. All hail Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Dr Rangan Chatterjee. Power to the Greens!
So important that we do everything we can to embrace healthy eating and nutrition. We need to educate and make it easier for parents and kids to make healthy choices.
Vegetables are a very important part of everyone's diet and they are delicious.
Sharon Hodgson MP
We know that advertising for junk food drives up demand and consumption, so I am pleased that #VegPower is now looking to do the same for vegetables not only to encourage healthy eating and to drive up demand, but also to support our farmers. Eating a balanced diet, which includes vegetables, is key to a fit and healthy lifestyle, so it is important that healthy eating is encouraged across all ages. That is why I am pleased to add my support to #VegPower, and I look forward to following their achievements in the future.
I love vegetables! Mushrooms, onions, broccoli, peppers, oh my my I love them all!
This is a brilliant campaign! I love veg, but it is much harder to get my kids to eat them. I am always looking for ideas, and I want more kids and parents to be equipped to do the same. Keep going!
