What could be more simple than a stir fry. With a few basic tips anyone can turn pretty much anything into a stir fry – a quick way to turn leftovers etc
As part of our ongoing mission to support the UK to eat more veg, we’re running a campaign around Chinese New Year to encourage families to cook a stir fry as their family meal. Stir fries are a convenient way to cook a range of different veg – fresh and frozen – and a great way to use up what might be lurking in the fridge. Our research has identified that parents are often worried about trying new recipes and meals with their families for fear of waste. To reduce the likelihood of this happening we’ll be asking our supporter network to provide their firm family favourite stir fry recipes. In addition, we’ll be supporting families who are newcomers to stir fry meals with the provision of a short stir fry tutorial and a handy PDF resource that covers all the basics to help them get started e.g. which veg work well in a stir fry, simple sauces, ideas for stir fry meals in 5 minutes.
