Meet the Team


Karen Schenstrom

Karen has worked for much of her life in the retail food supply sector. Karen spent much of her career with Sainsbury’s and most notably headed up their worldwide supply chain activities in the fresh produce and meat sectors. In 2012, she took up the role of Head of Commercial, Convenience Sector.

In 2017 she decided to take early retirement and create a role for herself advising across the whole of the retail business sector, which she now does in UK and European farming and food supply companies helping develop strategies regarding the impact of climate change on food diversity and the complex problems of food supply in a world with a rapidly changing regulatory and competitive environment are manifest.

Louise Holland

Louise Holland is Deputy to Jamie Oliver. Starting her career as a chef, she later moved into publishing and television production. After a chance meeting with the then 26-year-old Jamie, she took on a role that over 19 years has covered every aspect of the food and media industries. Louise continues to support all of Jamie’s endeavours, helping to guide and manage him, his businesses and his initiatives. She sits on Jamie’s main board and helps to drive his foundation and campaigns around the world.

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

Hugh is a multi-award-winning writer and broadcaster known for his uncompromising commitment to seasonal, ethically produced food and his concern for the environment. He has earned a huge following through his River Cottage TV series and books, as well as campaigns such as Hugh’s War on Waste, Britain’s Fat Fight and his latest, War on Plastic with Hugh and Anita.
