We would always prefer children to have a school lunch which complies with the nutritional standards. However, it’s not always that easy particularly for children who are neurodiverse or more cautious with their food. Our research shows that 62% of children have a packed lunch at least once per week.

So we have created a free resource pack for schools to support parents and carers to succeed with healthier lunchboxes.

This toolkit simply helps schools to direct parents & carers to the expert tips, advice and tools we have created to support them (see below). We do not expect any direct intervention by schools, but if schools wish this toolkit could be used at a parent engagement event. 

The toolkit includes a  guide for schools plus a flyer you can send to your families.

Our resources for families include short videos from registered nutritionist Catherine Lippe RNutr. on what makes for a great lunchbox and covering the all-important question of “How do you get kids to eat what you pack?” Plus the wonderful Shaun the Sheep Lunch Box planner children love.
