Supporting healthier lunchboxes
It’s easy to think of a lunchbox as just fuel for the physical body, but for a child in a classroom, it’s actually brain fuel. What they eat at lunchtime dictates exactly how much they’ll get out of their afternoon lessons. A good balanced lunchbox will help with their energy, concentration and mood both at school and for the whole afternoon

Resources for schools & nurseries
We would always prefer children to have a school lunch which complies with the nutritional standards. However, it’s not always that easy particularly for children who are neurodiverse or more cautious with their food. Our research shows that 62% of children have a packed lunch at least once per week.
So we have created a free resource pack for schools to support parents and carers to succeed with healthier lunchboxes.
This toolkit simply helps schools to direct parents & carers to the expert tips, advice and tools we have created to support them (see below). We do not expect any direct intervention by schools, but if schools wish this toolkit could be used at a parent engagement event.
The toolkit includes a guide for schools plus a flyer you can send to your families.
