1 large or 2 medium bananas (the riper the better!)
500ml water
40g raw cashews
3 tbsp honey
1 cup of ice
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:
1. Add the kale, cashews, ice and water in to a juice blender and blend well.
2. Pass liquid through a sieve then pour back in to the juicer (clean any pulse out first)
3. Now add the banana, vanilla and the honey blend till smooth then pour into a large glass.
Don’t have a juicer? Blitz the ingredients in a blender until smooth. If you want it extra smooth, you can pass through a sieve before serving. You might find it is easier if you soak the cashews for a few hours first to avoid bittiness.
Kids in the kitchen:
Let the kids make these themselves! Get them to add the ingredients to the juicer or blender and push the buttons to blitz or juice. If using the sieve, hold it still and let them push the mixture through with a spoon. If using a blender and soaking the cashews first, let them add them to a bowl and pour water over them.

Aaron Craze was one of the second group of trainees from Channel 4's Jamie's Kitchen programme. Aaron left school with no formal qualifications and worked in several jobs before applying to become a trainee in Jamie Oliver's London restaurant, Fifteen, graduating from its Chef Training Programme with merit. Since then Aaron has worked at restaurants including London's The Ivy and has appeared in television programmes including Junior Bake-Off.
