Ingredients:
500g white or red cabbage, shredded into thin strips
30g unsalted butter
100ml stock of choice or water
3 ingredients, 1 bit of prep, 20 mins to make – it doesn’t get much easier (or tastier!) than creamy cabbage! This simple side mostly cooks itself while you wait for a roast to be done, and is a delicious way to up the veg at the family table.
Method:
Add half the butter to a large frying pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the cabbage, 50ml of the stock and the remaining butter. Cover and cook on low heat until cabbage is soft and buttery, stirring regularly and adding more stock whenever it starts to look dry. It should take about 10-20 mins total.
