1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 large leeks, halved, washed and sliced
60ml water
50ml single or double cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
These creamed leeks are as easy (and tasty!) as a simple side gets: 4 ingredients, 2 mins prep, and on the table in 10 mins! A simple way to add more veg to a roast that the whole family will actually enjoy.

Method:
Melt the butter in a frying pan over low-medium heat, then add in the sliced leeks. Start softening for a few mins, then pour in the water and simmer until the leeks are soft and cooked. Take off the heat and stir in the cream. Season with salt and pepper if you like, before serving.
