Claire Wright from addsomeveg.com shares 3 simple ways to prepare peas that the whole family will enjoy.

Sometimes you can’t beat a classic, and these mushy peas are a wonderful side to any main meal, not just battered fish!

Method:

Bring a saucepan of water to the boil, then add the peas and a pinch of salt. Boil for 3-4 minutes, until the peas are cooked (they will have bobbed up to the surface). Drain and blitz in a food processor or with a hand-held blender with the cream and butter. Season with salt & pepper and serve with your main.

Kids in the kitchen:

Get the kids to pile the ingredients in the blender and push the button to make it mushy!
